Personnaly I really like Constantine. I don't care if he's a poser. In my opinion it is a plus. His Bohemian Rapsody was strong.
My wife and I tend to agree with Simon more than any other judge.... and the bottom three this week did not surprise me at all.
Hopefully Bo will take this as a wakeup call and be more competative. Constantine is probably more versatile of a singer... but he's such a POSER... all that mugging to the camera... [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img]
Nadia going home will help Vonzelle alot... she's made the most progress over the past few weeks.
I predict Scott is going home next week. Anthony has learned and improved while Scott has moments, but I think he exhausted his pitty votes this week.

Nadia's "trademark" of choosing obscure songs finally caught up to her, which is a shame, because she's definitely a consistently better singer than Bo. Her choice of song majorly fucked her chances up.
If you're in a competition like American Idol, why would you take the gamble of choosing a song so few have heard of, let alone like? It seems that if you're a female singer, America wants to hear you cover Etta James, Dusty Springfield, or the countless Motown girl groups-- stuff they know.
Take a chance on an obscure cover song after you win the competition and you've got that record deal. Release it as a B-side to your hit single. Don't pull that shit while you're still in the running and you've got some talented folks sharing the same stage with you.

And baimun i agree with you, next week scott is going to be gone, just not a strong enough voice and he don't have that star quality about him, although i would rather fedorov go instead cause to me he just can't sing.
Bo i don't know about, he's a rocker, not a idol and i don't see him making it much futher.
When you get to this point, you've usually weeded out the "good" singers from the "decent" singers....
... but now the divisiveness of it been a "contest" voted on my telvision masses becomes painfully obvious.
Just "being yourself" or having a style of your own isn't good enough. Hell, half of the musical artists out there wouldn't be able to compete now. It becomes a question of a "Marketability Balance". Who can rock just enough but still pull votes in from the R&B fans... or country fans... or have the image that the teens like without being offensive to the older people.
The fact that Constantine is where he is sets him in a good place to win. People are sick of the Mariah/Celine/Beyonce' clones... and as good a singers as Anwar and Carrie are, they just won't "spark" or "move" the audience unless they kick it up a few notches.
I think Constantine will eventually rob enough votes from fans of Bo, Scott, Anthony, and Anwar to be in the finals. If Carrie doesn't get her stage presence kicked up, Vontelle will knock her legs out from under her.
Unless there are major changes in their performances, I predict Constantine and Vontelle in the finals.
It seems to me that it's more of a popularity contest then anything, i think alot of people just vote cause they like the person and their not really juding them for their singing skills.
I don't see any of them really doing anything big after this, i mean none of the idols have really become giant singing stars.

I've been proposing since the start of this show that they instead showcase BANDS and have them perform with ORIGINAL material.
The problem is, the majority of TV watchers tune in to hear songs they ALREADY KNOW.

To appease the masses, I'd slowly integrate the original stuff in. Sure, we'd probably hear too many Zeppelin/Skynard/Stones covers, but you gotta keep the folks tuning in.
